Harlen's has been in Davenport for over 50 years. There food is good and priced right

Been coming here since the days when it was a truck stop. Still good food (though not as "home cooked" as it used to be). Excellent service.

horrible service and Jamie the server is extremely rude. sanitation is a major issue and they had multiple health code violations that were extremely visible. if you value your life or health steer clear!!!

Our waitress was friendly and efficient . I had the half rack of ribs. They were very tender. Order came with salad and choice of potato. Everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered. No one went home still hungry. Reasonable prices.

The service is great the food is cook as ordered the price is somewhere you can feed your family and no worry about not having enough money to pay or tip your servicer

This is an old time favorite.. been here for years! Use to be the truckstop when I was a kid. Always get my ultimate favorite...2 tenderloin dinner smothered in gravy! It's the best! Large variety of food to choose from. Great prices!!! Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, awesome memories!

Usually the food is fairly good but it could be improved. A big gripe I have is that they don't have a decent menu online.It is nice to know what you are getting, what comes with it, and the price instead of wasting time asking whoever takes the phone order all these questions.

Went to Harlan's for the first time in over ten years and the food was just as good as I remember it was years ago! I'm very rarely on the west side of Davenport so I don't typically think of any restaurants in that area so this was a good opportunity to give them another try. Was definitely satisfied! I'll be returning again! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Always reasonable pricing!

We have been to Harlans about once a week. Great staff and homestyle cooking. We moved to Des Moines and we miss it.

It was blah no flavor and it took the 3 trays to get our order right... I'd rather drive a block and a half down and get great food and experience at hickory garden!

Great service, very welcoming laid back atmosphere, food was good. The soup was not my favorite, but there were lots of delicious options! A good experience for sure!

Outstanding staff that really seems to care about their customers! I wished they had a few more vegetarian options on the menu but the food was good and home style with fair pricing.

I have eaten at Harlan's 5 times now. I've sat in a booth and a table, brought my noisy family and my quiet father. Upon entering for breakfast you hear the clanking of spoons on the side of coffee cups paired the laughter of good company. The atmosphere is cozy, and the waitress's have always been knowledgeable and not overbearing. If you're looking for a great, standard, homestyle meal - then Harlan's is your place. It's good, quality food that shines here - not complex trend setting. You get in, you eat, you enjoy company however you keep it, and you go about your merry way. I'd recommend you beat the crowd, because I have a feeling at peak hour Harlan's fills the seat.

My husband and I have been regulars for years but lately the food quality has gone down hill. The swiss steak has been a favorite of mine but the last several time the meat is so tough that you can't even cut it. Also I use to love the swiss steak gravy but for whatever reason it has been watered down. Not happy with my meal lately. The service however is wonderful.

The fried chicken was delicious and the desserts were fantastic! The price was reasonable too.

Awesome old school family resteraunt. Everything from breakfast all day to liver and onions. I only use that as an example of the diversity of the menu. And yes, I do like the liver and onions.Without a doubt the best fried chicken in IA.And service is old school friendly too.If your headed toward Davenport, it is well with the short detour to participate in truck stop history! Enjoy

I really like their chicken and mashed potatoes

Service was excellent. I got a hot beef sandwich and must have got the bottom of the meat pan. Just tiny bits of meat, no big slices. Potatoes were luck warm at best

We both had chicken, it was good. The lettuce was starting to turn brown. The mashed potatoes were flat no taste at all

The food is great, the prices are very good, and the facility is always clean. It is however in need of a makeover. Chairs and booths are worn and menu is uninteresting.

OLD SCHOOL!A trip to the past. Truck stop/ dinner with everything from cheese burgers to liver and onions. I like both. Mashed potatoes gravy and our for dessert.And the service was old school. Friendly and expedient with a "honey" our "sugar" thrown in for good measure.Apparently and historic place as well. Pictures on the walls of times before I 80 rerouted all of the traffic.But it is still so good that many people were talking a detour. I think it's for the pie.

I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast. My plate had 2 small dry patties of corned beef hash, thick greasy undercooked hashbrowns, old tough heated up toast and eggs. The only thing that was decent was the eggs. The server was polite but I am not going back.

This is always a great place to eat. Very friendly staff, great food, the type of pricing I really appreciate! This was my grandparents and my parents favorite place to eat, now it's mine too as well!! Thank you Harlan's for a nice night out.
